WE STAND

Gender equality is an issue constantly being brought up in today's society, more so than ever due to the policies of certain world leaders and right-wing movements across the globe. I've always written a lot about the representation of women within the media, It's a topic I find interesting and chose for my dissertation, it's also something I feel rather strongly about. 

I wanted to link my dissertation to one of my final projects somehow, so I decided to chose the topic of "Feminism"

I was really sceptical going to the march as I didn't know what to expect. The media tends to represent feminism as a controversial topic. However this march was completely different. So many people of different ages and genders seemed to be united over one common issue, and that was really heart-warming to see. 

This impacted the direction of the campaign, wanting to inform other sceptics as to why people march and showing that feminism isn't just for women.
